RATES AND CHARGES

The monthly minimum for a rural farm or residence is $25 per month.  The minimum must be paid every month whether water is used of not.  In addition to the minimum, water usage is charged at the following rate schedule.

Monthly Residential Rate

Basic Service	$25.00/month
All water usage	$3.75/thousand gallons

A typical family of four will use between 3,000 and 6,000 gallons per month.  As a result, the average bill for most users will be between $36.25 and $47.50 per month.

Monthly Commercial Rate   - service is available to commercial customers, monthly minimum charges are based on meter size outlined in the schedule below:

Municipal Bulk Water Rate

$3.45 per thousand gallons.

Membership or Hookup Fee

The membership or hookup fee is currently $350.  In addition to the hookup fee, all new users are required to pay the cost of any distribution and service line necessary to bring water service to the residence.  Cass Rural Water District furnishes the meter package which consists of the meter, pressure reducing valve, check valve, pressure guage, and associated fittings.
